PET SITTING IN PORTLAND, OR

Portland pet sitting in a real home, not an empty one

Pet care that fits Portland life

Portland is a dog town with a lot of cats too, and plenty of pet parents who travel out of PDX, work long days downtown, or live in apartments where a pet waits alone. PetFena matches your pet with a vetted sitter who hosts them in their own home.

Neighborhood to neighborhood

From a Pearl District apartment to a house with a yard in Sellwood or St. Johns, sitter homes vary. Verified photos show you the space before you book, so you can pick one that suits your pet.

Wet-season routines

From fall through spring, most walks are damp ones. Write down how your dog handles rain, muddy paws and towel-offs, so the routine you’ve built carries on while you’re away.

Trips out of PDX

Agree on drop-off and pick-up around your flight in the in-app chat. A photo at check-in and check-out records exactly when the stay started and ended.

HOW PETFENA WORKS

Vetted sitters, verified homes, and a record of every stay

Background-checked sitters

Every sitter passes a criminal background check and ID verification before they can host a single pet.

Homes you can see

Sitters upload at least 3 photos of their home and pet space, shown on their profile so you know where your pet will stay.

Check-in to check-out

Chat in the app before and during the stay, with a photo at drop-off and pick-up for a clear record.

FAQ

Portland pet sitting questions

PetFena matches you with sitters by distance, not neighborhood lines, so it works the same in Alberta, Hawthorne, Sellwood, St. Johns or the Pearl. PetFena is new in Portland, so the number of sitters near you will grow as more people join.

Only if you say so. Portland has many off-leash areas, and Forest Park trails are leash-only. Lots of dogs do better on leash with someone new, so write your preference in your pet’s notes and the sitter follows it.

Multnomah County requires dog licenses through Multnomah County Animal Services. Your sitter won’t ask for it, but a license tag on the collar helps your pet get home fast if they ever slip out.

Sign up as a sitter in the PetFena app, pass the background check and ID verification, and upload at least 3 photos of your home and pet space. Once you’re approved, pet parents near you can book you.
